Make use of the Intelligent Objects, are the layers marked with purple, as easy as double click on them and save your design there, that way you will avoid having to transform and locate your design manually. Inside the PSD there is a folder called "FX (Optional)" inside that folder you will find the appropriate layers to change the color of the pencils, modify the opacity of the shadows and the brightness, you can also give color to the thickness of the paper.
